Free · Live from Facebook’s Ad Library
Who is running ads in your market?
Put in your company and up to three competitors. We look each one up in Facebook’s own public Ad Library and tell you who has ads running right now, how long they have been at it, and what their ads actually say.
What this can and cannot tell you
We only report what came back
If ads came back under a name, we say so and show you them. If nothing came back, we say nothing came back — we do not say the company is not advertising, because we cannot see that. Facebook files ads under the page name, and plenty of companies advertise from a page named nothing like the business.
Every company gets a link
Next to each name is a link straight into Facebook’s Ad Library for that search. Open it and you are looking at exactly what we looked at. If we missed somebody, that link is where you will see it.
It is today, not a history
We ask for ads that are running right now. An ad that ran all summer and stopped last week will not show up. The start date we show is the oldest of the live ones, which tells you how long the current push has been going.
A check that fails stays blank
If one of the four lookups does not come back, it says so. It is never turned into a no.
What to look at once you have the list
Read the offer, not the picture
The part worth copying down is what they are promising: the price, the free install, the no-contract line, the months of monitoring thrown in. That is the thing your next customer is comparing you against on the phone.
Check where the ad sends people
We show the landing link on every ad. If it goes to a quote form, they are buying leads. If it goes to the home page, they are buying attention and hoping. The first one is harder to beat.
Watch how long it has been running
An ad that has been live for months is an ad that is paying for itself. Nobody keeps spending on something that does not work. A brand new one tells you nothing yet.
Questions dealers ask
- Where does this come from?
- Facebook’s own Ad Library, which is public and shows every ad running on Facebook and Instagram. We search it for each name you give us and read back what comes out. You can search it yourself with the links we give you — that is the same search we ran.
- It says nothing came back for a competitor I know is advertising.
- Then he is almost certainly advertising from a page whose name does not match what you typed — a brand name, an old company name, a spelling with or without the word inc. Open the link, and try the shortest distinctive word in his name on its own. That is also why we never write the words not advertising anywhere on this page.
- Can I see how much they are spending?
- No, and neither can anybody else for an ordinary local ad. Facebook publishes spend figures for political ads only. What you can see is what we show you: that the ads are live, how many, how long, and what they say.
- Why do you need my email before it runs?
- Pulling live ad data costs us money on every run. Taking the email first is what keeps the button from being a bill anybody can run up. Two runs per address per day, and we send you the write-up so you can forward it.
Ads bring the call, the call still has to be answered.
Whatever anybody in this list is spending, it all ends the same way: a phone rings. If that call goes to voicemail at seven in the evening, the money bought the other guy a customer. We do not sell ads. We answer the phone — the AI 24/7 Support Line picks up every call, day or night, and books the job. It starts at $297 a month for dealers under 1,000 accounts.
